Music Theory Pro
This is a fantastic website and application for IOS users for some basic music theory practice. The different sections include note names, key signatures, interval, chords and scales. This website does not offer extra content such as a grand staff to teach note names, it is meant to be used to practice what you already know, and at the end of each section it will allow the student to review their answers. There is also an ear training component to the application that allows for practicing tempo markings, interval identification, chords and scales. This website offers well designed practice for students who need extra help with basic music theory, and some intermediate theory with the add on of ear training.

Music Tutor
This application is specifically designed with the beginner in mind. This application is strictly for practicing note identification through clicking the note name or clicking the correct key on the piano. This is perfect for the beginning band or choir student to learn their note names and get quick feedback. I specifically like that there is a bass and treble reference for students to refer back to, as well as being able to see the notes they missed at the end of the minute trial period. There are many other applications out there like this, but I prefer this one because it is free and simple to use for practice purposes.
